Group members: Tawanda Collins Muzamwese (Zimbabwe), Ivana Baćović (Serbia), Angie Sanchez (South Africa) Despite significant economic growth in recent years, Nicaragua still faces challenges of environmental pollution, waste management and resource depletion. Clean Technology (Clean Tech) offers opportunities for Nicaragua to attract investments in resource efficient production processes, pollution prevention, eco-innovation, energy efficiency and renewable energy, which will improve development, reduce poverty and create employment. Implementation of this project will act as trigger for further development and up-scaling of Clean Tech in Nicaragua and offer an opportunity for achieving resource efficiency, pollution prevention and energy efficiency. The project will endeavor to facilitate dialogue in Clean Tech Policy reform, carry out awareness workshops, build capacity in local trainers and facilitate installation of technologies in SMEs as a way of promoting Clean Tech.
