Nitin Akhade : PCM based solar dyers and cold storage

Connect me to Nitin Akhade
Solar powered dyers and cold storage through phase change material technology can help to preserve perishable goods without use of batteries or diesel for refrigeration and drying even after sun is gone down. This is done through incorporating of the phase change material in the system. This is called thermal storage and can last period of 18-20 hours in day. This will help farmers across the globe to minimize the wastage and hence enhance their income generation through use of this technology. It is estimated that 20-25% of the food produced does not reach end consumer in good quality due to poor logistics ,supply chain issues, post agro processing solutions related cold storage and drying solutions for preserving the goods. The solution that we are offering can help to bridge that gap and help the farmers and retailers to increase their business sustainability. For this project my team comprising of Funmilola Felicia (Nigeria), Muyassar Kurbanova ( Uzbekistan ) Anita Ghandhe (India), Julius Mingoh Sancho (Cameroon), Ajay Kumar ( Nepal) and Nitin Akhade (India).
